VAGDEVI VILAS SCHOOL, NELAMANGALA 78TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
“REJOICING IN THE GLORY OF OUR COUNTRY”
Vagdevi Vilas School, Nelamangala celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 15/ 08/2024 Thursday and paid a grand tribute through varied programmes with great pride.
The Chief Guest Smt. Revathy Shetty, worked as Radio Jockey in All India from 2006, with the accompaniment of band in great fervour she was escorted by our Academic Advisor Dr Manjuladevi , Principal Smt. Renugadevi ,Vice Principal Shri Raghavendra Bhat to the dais.
The celebration started with the flag hoisting by our chief guest followed by the march past of four different houses. Sensational speech was given by our immensely talented students in English, Hindi , Kannada and Sanskrit. There were also programmes like fancy dress, dance, song, skit and mass drill. Students performed the mass drill in the form of VVSN which was highly appreciated.
The students of standard 5 &6 performed aerobics and the students of standard 3&4 performed rhythmic performance with dumb-bells and hula hoops.
The students of senior classes put together an act of how various freedom fighters fought the British army and sacrificed themselves to free India. The brilliant act managed to bring everyone to the brink of pride. They enacted the role of Captain Abhinandan Varthaman.
The school housekeeping department did a phenomenal job by singing patriotic song on this auspicious day. The programme concluded with an inspiring speech by the chief guest ,she shared many real life stories and motivated the students to work for the country when they grow up. The event ended with the Shanthi Mantra.
